"Hey, it's me. Something strange happened. It's not my fault, but he got loose and tried to terrorize the squirrels. But here's the crazy thing. The squirrels actually talked to him and got him to stop being kind of a jerk to them. And things were getting better, for them at least. Well, long story short, he's King of the Squirrels now, so we're all kind of under his iron paw now. That happened fast and nobody saw it coming."

If Raven wanted to catch her roomie before she bounced out and about on missions of love and friendship, she needed to really rethink her habit of sleeping past nine on Sundays. On the other hand, she did get to wake up to a gift basket on her bed, filled with mini strawberry tarts, and a slim gold bracelet. Sometime in the early hours of the morning, a box was left for Raven at the door. It was small-ish, wrapped in red paper, and contained a pair of hand-made chocolates nestled in tissue paper.

The box also included a hand-written note that was mostly legible.
